USER REVIEW – 1

Stephen Dias Says (1 year ago)

This drug BGR-34 did not work for me at all. I have taken about 94 tablets 2 tab in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening. My serum creatinine and urea are normal. My sugar and BP is under control for the last 2 years. I am diabetic for 10 years and also BP for 8 years approx.

My albuminuria is fluctuating very little but never exceeds about 50 mg/L. The test has been performed since 2008. After consuming 94 tablets from 1st May found that Albuminuria has gone to 187 and my legs are found swollen. No gastric nor body allergy is found. When my blood sugar level and diet is normal. No alcohol intake, no smoking, and no urination at nights, but with BGR 34 increase on microalbuminuria gave me a shock. That means this drug has side effects.

I would like to know whether the trial as per the rules of CTRI and DCGI was performed and to whom the trials are made, whether on pigs, rats or human beings. How long took to market this drug after it was released? Proper procedures were performed? Now my family doctors have demanded to get it checked with the nephrologists and report to my doctor with its findings.

If there are more cases similar to this then I suggest that this drug must be stopped selling in pharmacies or drug stores and discontinued from the market and manufacturing labs.

If the drug is proved faulty then compensation of damage to the patient must be done.

All official and all kinds of reports are available with the patient on demand for legal matters.

Forgot to mention that the blood test has been done every 3rd day and the report is within normal. All other parameters for Lipid profile, Blood count, ESR, Kidney function test and Liver test, etc. are normal except Microalbuminuria. Now tell me how to bring down it. What are the treatment and precautions? I have already stopped BGR-34 with immediate effect with the advice of doctors.

So, just before getting bizarre you must know the complete info about BGR-34.

WHAT IS BGR-34?

BGR-34 is a natural manager for diabetes. It is an herbal remedy prepared by plant extracts by keeping the old Ayurveda rules in view. It is an optimized concentration of synergistically acting herbal extracts that make it highly efficacious in Type-2 Diabetes mellitus.
BGR-34, a Blood Glucose Regulator brings the revolution, with a breakthrough Phyto-research of a decade, jointly developed by the scientists of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) – National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) & CSIR – Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

BGR-34 is an acronym for

B: Blood
G: Glucose
R: Regulator
34: 34 active ingredients
HOW CAN BGR-34 FIGHT AGAINST DIABETES?

It is supplemented with 34 dynamic phytoconstituent abstracts and derivatives as per the healing principles of Ayurveda.
It translates proinsulin to insulin thereby increasing the amount of active functional insulin units.
It is a potential DDP-4 inhibitor having a cardioprotective role.
Its anti-oxidant actions protect the body from radical species that are produced in response to high blood sugar.
This is the most studied and clinically approved drug among all the available herbal agents against diabetes.
It Regulates glucose homeostasis by decreasing blood glucose synthesis and better utilization of extra glucose.
It Reduces level of glycosylated Hb helping further to give better control.
HOW ANTIDIABETIC DRUGS LIKE BGR-34 WORK?

Antidiabetic allopathic drugs work by 3 core methods;

Provide more insulin.
Utilize insulin better.
Avoid extra glucose.
Drugs like sulfonylureas (glipizide, glimepiride) increases insulin level in body by stimulating pancreas. More insulin enters in the bloodstream to fight against the higher sugar levels in blood.

Drugs like Avandia temporarily increase body’s sensitivity to insulin.

Thirdly, there are drugs including metformin very well known for diabetes that prevent high levels of glucose by preventing the conversion of carbohydrates to glucose.

WHAT DOES BGR-34 CLAIM TO DO?

BGR 34 progresses insulin action, which can help more insulin sensitivity so that your cells can take glucose more effectively. One important mechanism of Berberine used in BGR-34 is inhibiting DPP4, an enzyme which destroys the hormone incretin. Incretins help the body produce more insulin only when it is needed and reduce the amount of glucose being produced by the liver when it is not needed. These hormones are released throughout the day and levels are increased at mealtimes.

Metformin’s main effect is to decrease liver glucose production. It also increases insulin sensitivity, which increases peripheral glucose uptake. Metformin decreases high blood sugar, primarily by suppressing liver glucose production (hepatic gluconeogenesis). Metformin does not act on the DPP4 enzyme but is more effective than BGR-34 in managing blood sugar levels instantly, BGR-34 is a natural DPP4 inhibitor that can control your insulin levels, which means less long term complications and side effects.

FAQ ON BGR-34 ANSWERED BY AMIL PHARMACEUTICALS
CAN BGR-34 BE TAKEN WITH OTHER ALLOPATHIC MEDICINES?

Yes, BGR-34 is a safe and effective Ayurvedic medicine for maintaining the normal glucose level in blood. If someone is already taking any allopathic medicines/insulin for diabetes management, he/she can start BGR-34 along with that.

BGR-34 works in a balanced manner with other allopathic OHG’s and after careful monitoring of blood sugar level, the dosage of allopathic medicines may be tapered down.

DOES IT CAUSE HYPOGLYCEMIA?

BGR 34 does not cause hypoglycemia. It does not work as your allopathic medicines, but it acts as antihyperglycemic, not as hypoglycemic. The difference between both is antihyperglycemic only lowers blood sugar level when it is actually elevated from the normal levels only. Hypoglycemic medicines can lower the blood sugar level regardless of the current glucose level in the blood and can also lead to hypoglycemia. Herbal drugs do not have such potency to cause hypoglycemia. Herbal medicines releases slowly, acts slowly and stimulates pancreas function slowly, which can take several days to show the results. Only regular use can help in the management of diabetes with herbal medicines. It does not cause an instant fall in blood sugar level or instant rise in insulin level.
Yes, in case you are also taking allopathic drugs, then you need to check their dosage and your blood sugar level regularly because if your blood glucose level is stabilized to normal, then-current doses of your allopathic medicines should be reduced or stopped accordingly, or otherwise, it can result in hypoglycemia. This hypoglycemia is not due to herbal medicine like BGR 34, but it is due to an inappropriate dosage of allopathic medicines along with it.

I AM A DIABETIC PATIENT FROM LAST 10 YEARS AND TAKING ALLOPATHIC OHG’S, WILL BGR-34 REDUCE MY DEPENDENCE ON ALLOPATHIC OHG’S?

Yes, BGR-34 reduces dependence on allopathic OHG’s. BGR-34 helps rejuvenate and repair β-cells of the pancreas, acts as DPP-4 inhibitor, delays glucose absorption from the small intestine, converts proinsulin to insulin, exhibits potent antioxidant activity, increases insulin production & utilization, increases sensitivity to the target organs. Thus it ultimately reduces the dependence on allopathic medicines, so you can gradually reduce/stop allopathic medicines under careful observation of a physician.

IS IT COMPULSORY THAT I MUST TAKE TWO TABLETS TWICE DAILY?

However, it is not compulsory, but BGR 34 is likely to work well in its optimum dosage as recommended. The dosage can be reduce or increased according to individual requirement as per doctor’s advice.

HOW FREQUENTLY SHOULD I MONITOR BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL AFTER STARTING BGR-34?

If you are a newly diagnosed diabetic patient, you can immediately start BGR-34 without any hesitation.

If you are already taking allopathic medicines (OHG’s), you can add BGR-34 along with allopathic medicines (OHG’s) and monitor blood sugar levels. Check to fast & PP sugar level on every alternate day initially and once in a week thereafter.

If you observe blood sugar level is quite under control, then you can taper down the dosage of allopathic medicines (OHG’s) under the supervision of physician.

I WAS TAKING BGR 34 FROM SEVERAL WEEKS AND NOW BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVEL IS NORMAL. SHOULD I REDUCE THE DOSAGE?

You should not reduce its dosage immediately and yourself. It should be continued in its recommended dosage for at least 3 months. BGR 34 does not cause hypoglycemia when taken alone or in combination of other ayurvedic or herbal medicines.

Herbal medicines are required to be taken in their optimum dosage regardless of the achievement in your blood sugar level or HbA1c. If you reduce the dosage immediately, it may result in treatment failure and your blood glucose level may increase again. The best advice is to gradually decrease the dosage under supervision.

HOW BGR-34 HELPS PREDIABETES PATIENTS?

There is good news, however, prediabetes can be one opportunity for you to improve your health. Progression from prediabetes to type-2 diabetes isn’t inevitable with the regular usage of BGR-34 in the dosage of 1 tablet twice daily along with healthy food habits including physical activity in your daily routine and maintaining a healthy weight you may be able to bring blood sugar level back to normal.

IS IT COMPULSORY TO TAKE IT 30 MINUTES BEFORE MEAL?

The best use of BGR 34 is 30 minutes before meal, which helps stimulating the beta cells in the pancreas to release more insulin. The insulin secreted is not get blocked and used in the body because insulin is required immediately after food.

However, it is not compulsory to take any herbal medicine or BGR 34 before food. It can also be taken with food or after food. It has slow action, but the long-lasting effect, so it dosage time does not have any major significance. It will provide almost similar results.

WILL IT NOT WORK IF I TAKE TWO TABS JUST AFTER BREAKFAST FOR FEW DAYS TO CONTROL MY BLOOD SUGAR POST BREAKFAST AND POST LUNCH WHICH BECAME HIGH WHENEVER I EAT?

Yes, you can take it after breakfast or lunch, but it will not make any major difference because the action of BGR 34 is not similar to allopathic medicines. It is slow-acting, but it has long-lasting effects. It will naturally reduce postprandial glucose level, but this effect only appears after a few days of its use.

According to Ayurveda’s deep concept, it can only occur when the pancreas becomes weak to produce the appropriate amount of insulin required for processing the food. As per Ayurveda, in such cases, herbs that provide strength to the pancreas and has rejuvenating properties like Ashwagandha should also be used along with antihyperglycemic medicines. Again the second principle, strengthening herbs like Ashwagandha should only be used in thin or weak people. If a person is obese, then digestive herbs like Trikatu, Kutki, or Arogyavardhini Vati, etc. should be used to lower the postprandial glucose level along with antihyperglycemic medicines.
